The National board of Education (NBE) today postponed the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) which was supposed to be held in December this year. The revised exam date is now available at the official NBE website — natboard.edu.in.
As per the revised schedule, the FMGE 2022 exam will now be conducted on 20 January, 2023. Earlier, the exam was supposed to take place on 4 December, 2022.
The official notification reads, “Pursuant to the announcement of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections by the Delhi State Election Commission to be held on 4th December 2022, it has been decided to re-schedule the conduct of FMGE December 2022 now on 20th January 2023.” The decision was taken because of the clash of dates with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections.
The authority has also extended the deadline for uploading deficient documents such as proof of possessing primary medical qualification, attestation of primary medical qualification certificate by the Indian embassy concerned/apostille, eligibility certificate/ admission letter, identity proof of citizenship and more.15 December,2022 has been stated as the new deadline. The deficient documents can only be submitted through an online deficient document submission portal.
A list of candidates failing to rectify the deficiencies in their documents by 15 December will be published on the website by NBE. An online window will be facilitated for them from 24 to 30 December for the same. No further opportunity will be given after this by NBE.
According to the official notification, candidates will be able take the demo test tentatively from 10 January, 2023. Admit cards for FMGE December 2022 are expected to be out on 13 January while the result for FMGE December 2022 is expected to be declared by 10 February, 2023.
