Exam Date of UPSC CAPF 2024 Scheduled for August 4: 506 Vacancies Available for Filling!

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced that the recruitment examination for 506 Assistant Commandant (AC) vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will take place on August 4, 2024. The detailed timetable for the UPSC CAPF 2024 exam has been published on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

According to the timetable, the examination will be conducted in two shifts:

• Paper I (Code No. 01): 10AM to noon - General Ability and Intelligence
• Paper II (Code No. 02): 2PM to 5PM - General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension

Vacancy Breakup

• Border Security Force (BSF): 186 vacancies
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

• Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the position of Assistant Commandant. 
• Eligible candidates must be Indian citizens or non-citizens who have obtained consent from the Central Government. 
• The age criteria require candidates to be at least 20 years old and not more than 25 years old. 
• Educational qualifications include holding at least a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.

With the examination date confirmed, UPSC will release the admit cards for the test soon on upsc.gov.in.
