Competitive test preparation platform Edukemy has partnered with actor Sonu Sood’s NGO, the Sood Charity Foundation, to offer at least 300 live coaching classes free of cost to SSC candidates from the economically weaker section (EWS).

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruits staff members for various Group B and C positions in multiple ministries, departments, and organisations under the government of India through an examination.

Speaking about the partnership, Sood said, “Sood Charity Foundation was started with the purpose of helping the needy across segments covering education, healthcare and career opportunities. Our diligent focus is to empower the underprivileged and help them gain access to the best facilities and resources.”

The motive behind the partnership is to provide financial assistance to students belonging to the EWS. Edukemy, in collaboration with Sood Charity Foundation, will offer 100% scholarships on foundation courses for SSC exams that would cover six months of end-to-end preparation with more than 300 live classes.

Edukemy has created a one-of-a-kind evaluation model for non-subjective and subjective competitive exams. With its learners' first approach, the company aims to scale the learning experience for every individual by offering an insightful and enriching environment for students.

“Education, being the enabling factor, is the best way to help and enable the marginalised sections of our society. We at Sood Charity Foundation are happy to collaborate with Edukemy and further our cause of helping EWS candidates gain access to quality education for exam preparation. Hope our association becomes the light for numerous students who are trying their best to uplift their lives,” added Sood, who shot to fame for his philanthropic work during the first and the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This initiative is already live on the websites of Edukemy as well as the Sood Charity Foundation.

"We, at Edukemy, aim to work for a more significant cause of nation-building through youth empowerment. Every year lakhs of students from the economically weaker section cannot qualify for these exams due to a lack of proper coaching. We want to make a social impact by providing free coaching and mentorship support and holistic personality development. We are glad to partner with Sood Charity Foundation in this regard," said Chandrahas Panigrahi, co-founder of Edukemy.
