EdTech platform Geekster is looking to upskill over 1,000 students to offer trained technical talent to corporates and thereby bridge the skill gap. The platform has reached a mark of 200 corporate associations, enabling easy talent acquisition for employers and job placements for students.

 

Geekster founder Ankit Maggu said, “We are witnessing a great turn out by corporates, as now they are clearly seeing the value proposition in hiring trained tech talent. The whole idea behind Geekster is to bridge the skill gap for students and offer trained talent to employers, thus creating a win-win for all stakeholders.”

Maggu added, “The aspirants trained through our platform are performing well for employers. Thus, we are witnessing a high demand from corporates for our trained talent. Also, many of our existing partners have already shared hiring requirements in high numbers. So, we are looking to upskill over 1,000 students in the next two quarters.” 

 

The brand, with its unique pay-after-placement offering, upskills aspirants on technical courses and makes them job-ready. The platform has trained nearly 300 aspirants, offers tech courses including full-stack web development and advanced web development courses. The company has achieved a placement record of 95%, with students landing jobs with reputed companies.

 

The platform had recently announced increasing manpower by 50% to be able to cater to the increased demand. 

 

It was reported that after getting trained with Geekster, most of the candidates have got their first job. Even experienced professionals have upskilled themselves, getting offers with an average raise of 175% from earlier drawn salaries. Geekster follows cohort-based learning in a live-classes format delivered by top industry experts. Additionally, the students also get personal mentorship from top professionals to help them reach their potential.
