DU extended application date for Financial Support Scheme till 31 January 2023

The Financial Support Scheme (FSS) application deadline has been extended by Delhi University to 31 January 2023. On the program's official website, du.ac.in, students can submit an application.

In accordance with the government's philosophy, "Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas," the programme grants a fee waiver to students who are financially unstable. The university stated that all fees paid by students, with the exception of examination and housing fees, will be waived under the programme. Students accepted into UG and PG programmes in colleges are not eligible for this programme.

A full-time, bonafide student enrolled in a department at the University of Delhi who is from an institution in an economically challenged segment is qualified to apply, per the requirements made public by Delhi University. It said that students having ER or exam arrears are ineligible to qualify for the programme.

The Dean Students' Welfare (DSW) office will receive the application form and the necessary documentation from students who wish to participate in the programme. Candidates who fall under category 2 and have family incomes between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 8 lakh will receive a 50% fee waiver, while those whose family income is less than Rs 4 lakh will receive a 100% fee waiver.

Students must present the Tehisldar or other appropriate authority's annual income certificate for the most latest financial year. They must also present a copy of the last exam's marksheet, proof that they are legitimate students enrolled in a degree or graduate programme, the fee receipt, and a copy of their bank passbook.
