The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Institutions (COMEDK) has announced a revision to the schedule for the third round of counseling for COMEDK UGET 2024. This decision comes in response to the postponement of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) allotment results.
According to the initial schedule posted on the COMEDK website, eligible candidates were allotted time for choice filling from August 26, 2024, to August 28, 2024. The seat allotment results were set to be announced on September 2, 2024, with the deadline for reporting to the allotted colleges by September 6, 2024. This timeline was designed in alignment with the KEA results, which were initially scheduled to be released on August 21, 2024.
However, with KEA postponing its allotment results to September 1, 2024, concerns were raised by many Karnataka candidates about the potential conflict in deciding between the seats allotted by COMEDK and KEA.
