There will typically be two sessions for CMAT 2023, and each session's question paper will be unique. students for one exam slot can end up receiving an easier set of questions in this situation than students for a different exam slot.

Similar to the practises used in other national level entrance exams administered in India, CMAT normalisation compares applicants' performance over multiple-session questions. The percentile equivalency shall be used by NTA for normalisation across sections.

CMAT 2023: How to calculate the score for the result

The NTA scores, which will be used to create the merit list, will be created by combining the CMAT percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all shifts (Shift-1 and Shift-2).

The lowest CMAT percentile for the multi-shifts will serve as the eligibility cut-off for that category for all applicants throughout all exam sessions in the event that the percentiles are not equal.

CMAT 2023: Marking Scheme

Each of the five sections in the CMAT exam paper is equally weighted. Each question provides four points for a successful try and one point for a failed effort. Unanswered questions receive a mark of 0 for candidates.
