CLAT 2023 registration will soon begin under the supervision of the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU). On 18 December 2022, the examination will take place offline. On its main website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, the Consortium will publish the official notification, the application form, and the curriculum.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the CLAT 2023 exam, candidates must have a minimum 10+2 academic record of 45% for undergraduate programmes and a graduation GPA of 50% for postgraduate programmes.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Legal reasoning, logical reasoning, English language, and current affairs make up the majority of the CLAT 2023 syllabus. There are 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the CLAT 2023 exam.  One mark will be awarded for each correctly answered question, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrectly answered question.

The NLUs have a total of about 3,000 undergraduate seats and 1,000 places for the LLM programme. Only 19 of the 22 participating NLUs offer the five-year LLM programme, while all 22 offer the five-year LLB degree.

The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT, a national entrance exam, for admission to its 22 participating NLUs' undergraduate and graduate law programmes. Additionally, law schools that are self-funded and PSUs use the CLAT score.
