West Bengal Class 11 practical exams postponed amid the school closure announced by the WB school education department. “In compliance with the recent order issued by School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal regarding closure of the schools for one-week w.e.f. 17.04.2023 due to heat wave all over the state except Hill Areas of Darjeeling & Kalimpong Districts, the undersigned is directed to notify all the Institutions under the jurisdiction of Council regarding the following changes in the schedule…” as stated in the official notice issued by the department.
“Pending Practical Examination of Class-XI Annual Examination, 2023 is to be conducted from 24th April, 2023 to 29th April, 2023. Practical Examination in the schools under Hill Areas (Darjeeling and Kalimpong) is to be conducted as per previous schedule,” the notice added.
The notice further stated, “Last date of filling up of Marks Entry Module by visiting the Council online portal (already notified vide No. L/SECY/58/2023 dated 06.04.2023) for Class-XI Annual Examination, 2023 is extended until 15th May, 2023.”
West Bengal government announced the closure of schools, colleges and universities in the state considering the rising temperature and heatwave. The decision was announced by the West Bengal school education department and the Department of Higher Education.
All the state-run as well as private schools along with all autonomous, state, central government aided and private universities and affiliated colleges in the state except in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts are directed to remain closed for a week and will reopen on 23 April, 2023.
