The Chhattisgarh department of school education and literacy commenced the application process for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS) for students of Class 8. Candidates who have secured a minimum of 55% in Class 7 will be eligible to register for the NMMS examination 2023 at the official website- scert.cg.gov.in.
Under the NMMS scholarship scheme, 2,246 has been allocated quota for Chhattisgarh. Students who are selected will get Rs 1,000 per month from Class 9 to 12. Students who are selected will get the benefit of any one scholarship under the scholarship scheme provided by the government.
The scholarship is awarded to the meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) studying in Class 8 in the state. The Chhattisgarh NMMS exam will be held in a total of 146 exam centres across the state. There will be no application fee, the state education department said. The last date to submit Chhatisgarh NMMS application 2023 is 8 September.
