The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) introduced revised guidelines for the adoption and management of textbooks in schools, through a notification issued on August 12,2024.
These updates came into effect immediately, and are aimed to ensure that educational materials in schools are appropriate and properly managed.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) introduced revised guidelines for the adoption and management of textbooks in schools, through a notification issued on August 12,2024. The official notification read, “The following amendments have been made in chapter 2, clause 2 4. 7 of the Affiliation Bye-Laws 2018, in respect of the rule position on the provisions for use of the textbooks by schools and will come into force from the date of issue of this notification.”
