About 100 students from different branches and batches of the college attended the webinar. The session started with greetings for the new year to all the attendees and a welcome address by the training and placement officer of BIT Sindri, Ghanshyam Rai.

Kirti, in his keynote address, emphasised on the value of information and how one might acquire it through many sources available across different platforms.

He not only explained how to stay motivated in this fast-paced world but also stressed the importance of maintaining a work-life balance especially amid the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The HR official from Wipro shared ways to avoid being stiff as “rigidity causes algae to form even in pure water held in a container, whereas a river that runs continuously stays fresh forever”.

Kirti recounted his life experiences that have helped him get to where he is today. He also advised the students to keep themselves occupied by following the time-tested mantra of “learn, unlearn and relearn”.

According to training and placement officer Ghanshyam, the session was insightful and gave the attendees a formidable chunk of knowledge about this very lucrative field of science.

BIT Sindri is controlled administratively by the department of science and technology of Jharkhand and academically it is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University in Hazaribag for conducting examinations and awarding degrees.
