All the sports events are hosted by JKLU on the respective campus grounds and facilities.

Sandeep Maan mentioned that he had often faced rejections owing to injuries even after tedious preparations, but he practised diligently and won accolades later. He wants to motivate children who go through struggles by sharing his own life stories.

“Physical disabilities are not shortcomings. They can be converted into strengths. Today people know me for those shortcomings. Everybody has some talent – recognise your talent. There are no shortcuts to success. Hard work eventually pays,” said Maan.

Raju Lal said that there are enough job and career growth opportunities for sportsmen. “The Rajasthan Government has made some very good policies and provided facilities for sportsmen and Sandeep Maan and I have benefitted from them. The human body does not need more than 6-7 hours of rest per day. The more you use your body physically, the more you benefit,” he said.

In his inaugural speech, vice-chancellor of JKLU Dheeraj Sanghi said, “I welcome all the students of different colleges who took the trouble to visit us from far and near. Sports should be played with sportsman spirit, ethically and with full vigour. Discipline has to be maintained and we should bear in mind that the referee is always right”.

During the three-day event, several sporting events including cricket, box cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, shooting, table tennis, chess, carom, cross-fit and athletics will be held at the JKLU campus.
