The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global MBA Rankings 2025 has recognised fourteen Indian full-time MBA programmes this year. Among them, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has emerged as the top performer from India, even though it slipped from the world's top 50 rankings this year. Other notable appearances in the top 100 include IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and the Indian School of Business (ISB).

The latest rankings also introduce three new Indian entries: IIM Kozhikode makes its debut in the 151-200 band, while the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad and Somaiya Vidyavihar University feature in the 251+ band, expanding India's representation on the global platform.

In the employability indicator, three Indian MBA programmes stand out among the world's top 50, with a fourth securing a place within the top 100. Notably, IIM Ahmedabad, recognised as India’s premier management institute according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), leads in the ‘Entrepreneurship & Alumni Impact’ category on a national level and ranks among the global top 100 in this indicator, alongside two other Indian programmes.

IIM Bangalore's full-time MBA programme distinguishes itself with the highest return on investment (ROI) in India, marking its presence among the world's top 100 in this category. Additionally, IIM-B stands out for the thought leadership of its faculty, achieving the top rank nationally, with three other Indian programmes also securing spots in the world’s top 100.

A notable observation from this year's rankings is the absence of Indian MBA programmes in the world's top 250 for student and faculty diversity, underscoring a significant gender imbalance within classrooms.

Globally, the United States and the United Kingdom continue to dominate the QS MBA rankings. Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) retains its position as the world's number one MBA programme for the fifth consecutive year, followed closely by The Wharton School and Harvard Business School. Stanford’s leading position is backed by its exceptional alumni impact and graduate employability.

The QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings 2025, spanning 58 countries and territories, analysed the world’s 340 best MBA programmes. This year's list also includes specialised rankings for high demand business master’s programmes, such as Master’s in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Supply Chain Management.
