Bihar Public Service Commission has issued a notification to recruit Block Horticulture Officers in the Horticulture Directorate in the Department of Agriculture, Government of Bihar. The application process will begin on March 1 and will continue till March 21, 2024.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online at the official website of Bihar Public Service Commission at bpsc.bih.nic.in/onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in. 

Details of the vacancy

A total of 318 candidates will be recruited for the position.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in either Horticulture Science or Agriculture Science from a recognised university or institute.

Age limit

Candidates should be between the age of 21 years to 37 years as on August 1, 2023.

For OBC Category - 40 years

Unreserved Female Candidate - 40 years

SC and ST categories- 42 years

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written exam followed by an interview.

Application Fee

General Category - Rs 750

SC/ST Candidates - Rs 200

Female Candidates - Rs 200

PwBD candidates (40 percent or more) - Rs 200

Other candidates - Rs 750

Apart from this, candidates will also have to submit Rs 200 as a biometric fee. However, candidates mentioning Aadhaar as identity card in online applications will not have to pay the additional fee of Rs 200.
