The Zoom International School Durgapur hosted an Inter-School Teachers Carrom Tournament “SUPER STRIKER” on 15 June 2024, where nearly thirty five schools in both categories participated. It was a spectacular event where the principals of reputed schools witnessed the tournament, encouraged the participating teams and even played the inaugural match.
The purpose of having such a unique tournament was to give a platform to the teachers who are one of the sole performers in the development of an educational institution. Coming together on a single platform not only gives them exposure but to know each other and extend their zones of communication during the fellowship lunch organised for all. Every participant was given consolation prizes, certificates because all were excited and played in true sportsmanship. The spectators from every school were seen cheering up every participant who gave a fantastic hit.
The Final Match for Masters was between Zoom International School & Hem Sheela Model School where the Champion was Zoom International School. The Final Match for Mistress was between Zoom International School & Burnpur Riverside School, Burnpur where the Champion was Burnpur Riverside School. The Champions of each category were awarded Rs. 20,000/- cheque with trophy, certificates and gifts. The Runners up of each category with cheque of Rs. 10,000/- alongwith trophy & gifts. Special trophies for the “PLAYER OF THE MATCH” and “PLAYER OF THE SERIES” were awarded to both categories.
The day ended with lots of happy moments captured in hearts, minds and clicks to be cherished forever. The Founder of Zoom International School, Mr. Raju Mondal assured all to organise such tournaments in the future as well.
