World Indigenous People’s Day was celebrated in the morning assembly of Oxford Public School, Ranchi. Highlighting the importance of the day, Vidhi Thakur of class 12, in her speech apprised the students about it. The non-teaching female staff members enthralled everyone by presenting a pleasing tribal dance. Along with this, the students who excelled in Science, Maths, General Knowledge, English, Commerce, Cyber and various Olympiads were rewarded with certificates and medals. In this Olympiad Foundation competition, a total of 112 students of the school performed amazingly in different subjects, in which Bhavya Ranjan of class X got four medals and certificates and Rudra Pratap Rathore got 5 medals and certificates as well as gold and bronze at zonal level. Medals and certificates were awarded to 33 in Mathematics, 27 in Science, 22 in English, 15 in Social Science, 3 in Commerce, 4 in Cyber and 7 in General Knowledge.
Along with this, two students of Oxford Public School Ranchi were also awarded for their excellent performance in the Inter School Quiz Competition 'No for Sure' 2023 held on May 10, 2023 at Oxford Public School Medini Nagar, Daltonganj. Kushagra Singh Shandilya and Riddhim Verma secured the first position.
On this golden occasion, the Academic Director of the school, Dr. Simi Mehta, extended best wishes on Indigenous People’s Day and while addressing the students stated that the students of the school are constantly touching new heights. She also congratulated the students who performed well in the Olympiad Foundation and motivated them to perform even better.
On this occasion, Academic Coordinator of the school Mr. Ravi Shekhar, Junior Wing Incharge Mr. Raj Kishore Sharma and other teachers as well as the entire school family were present.
