Summary
100 students from 14 colleges participated in the two-day fest
Competitions like quiz, debate, live reporting, and creative writing were held offline

Communique’22, a literary extravaganza, kept The Bhawanipur Education Society College abuzz on May 17 and 18. The offline festival saw more than 100 students from 14 city colleges like St. Xavier’s University, Amity University, Scottish Church College, NSHM Knowledge Campus, and Heritage College taki g part in 12 events. Edugraph was the digital media partner of the event. 

“We aimed to showcase synchronised teamwork and provide the best opportunities to the participants. The literary festival got the whole team together and achieve goals despite the challenges that came before us,” said Dilip Shah, dean of student affairs. 

Here’s what was in store for the students…

Paperkraft: This event tapped the creativity and designing skills of the participants, where they had to design newspapers. Debdipta Bhattacharya and Aranyak Majumdar from St. Xavier’s University were declared joint winners.  

The Controvert: A debate, which saw students from Amity University — Aditya Bhura and Anirudh Bharadi — win the battle of words. 

The Quill: Winners of this creative writing competition were Rohit Das and Sumana Sinha Basu, both students of Scottish Church College. 

Speakeasy: The traditional extempore had Khushboo Chainani from Shivnath Shastri College bagging the first position. 

Wordsworth: Participants appeared for mock interviews under stressful situations. Maliha Siddiqui from St. Xavier’s University won. 

The Acropolis: Participants improvised on a given situation. Surosrija Bhattacharya of Heritage College was the winner. 

Real Vox: A group discussion, which saw Maliha Siddiqui from St. Xaviers University finish first. 

Inquizzitive: A quiz about all things literary. Anushmita Paul and Suvyasanchin Singh from NSHM Knowledge Campus emerged as winners. 

Prepoating:  Sania Haider and Aranyak Majumdar from St. Xavier’s University were the winners in this live reporting competition.
