Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata organised a two-day National Conference on 17 & 18 November 2022, on the title Sustainable Trends and Practices in Management, Commerce, Humanities and Social Sciences Research, at their campus at Salt Lake Sector – III. The conference was inaugurated in the august presence of Dr. Saikat Maitra, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Dr. Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, Vice Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata, and other eminent dignitaries from industry and academia. Dr. Maitra, in his address, emphasized upon the importance of sustainability and the SDGs. Dr. Chattopadhyay endorsed and appreciated the avoidance of plastic at the conference through the use of jute, paper, glass, and other recyclable materials. Delegates and participants from different parts of the country presented their research papers at the conference along with a host of budding student researchers. The program concluded with the valedictory session with cultural performance by student and handing over of awards and certificates to the presenters. The conference proved beneficial for a large number of researchers across the nation.
