Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management organised its Freshers' Welcome Ceremony 2024, named "Vivartana- The Transformation" in Kolkata on November 30. Through the event, the institute warmly embraced and guided the new batch of students into the institution, with a delightful blend of excitement, inspiration, motivation and camaraderie.
Nearly 500 students from Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Hospital Management, Fashion and Media departments were present on the occasion and gained valuable insights into the global employability landscape and learned to effectively prepare themselves to be a part of it from the distinguished guests present on the occasion.
"It is the transformation of a student to a professional which matters the most. Industries like the hospitality sector, hospitals contribute a lot into our GDP. They are part of the services sector. The students who have enrolled themselves to become part of this service sector will have a major contribution in the coming days," said Justice Ashok Kumar Ganguly.
Rajib Sen, Chairman of SBIHM Group, said that the institute works to make the best out of the students and turn them into successful professionals over the duration of their course.
"SBIHM conducts various courses for students and Vivartana - The Transformation is their Freshers' Welcome. Here students will get to learn from the experience of stalwarts from various industries and take the first step in becoming successful professionals," he said.
