Sister Nivedita University's UNSCRIPTED talk series recently hosted a dynamic panel discussion, bringing together representatives from its diverse schools. Ranging from the School of Agricultural Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Media Communications Fine Arts & Design, School of Health Science and Translational Research, School of Law and many more, each school showcased its unique programmes, emphasising experiential learning and academic excellence.

The discussions delved into placement opportunities, highlighting success stories of alumni across various industries. The panellists also elaborated on future prospects for students, emphasising the university's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

Professor Emeritus Dr Bula Bhadra, Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research at SNU, underscored the university's holistic approach to education during the UNSCRIPTED event. She highlighted SNU's dedication to honouring students' aptitude and interests, focusing on interdisciplinary studies. According to Dr. Bhadra, SNU stands out due to its blend of programs in agriculture, performing arts, humanities, business, engineering, health science, hospitality, law, and international languages, reflecting the institution's mission of diversity and quality.

Dr Bhadra emphasised the significance of interdisciplinary courses in light of the CBCS system and NEP 2020, stating that SNU students benefit from multidisciplinary learning opportunities. For instance, she noted how sociology students also learn statistics, enabling them to present reports statistically and develop literacy. Even the performing arts, according to Dr. Bhadra, contributes to societal debates, highlighting the relevance of interdisciplinary education.

Despite being a relatively young institution, SNU has swiftly demonstrated its students' creativity, inventiveness, and competitiveness, resulting in numerous awards across various fields. Dr. Bhadra's insights into SNU's unique approach to education, characterised by creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, dynamism, and research, underscored the university's commitment to preparing students for diverse career paths in a rapidly evolving world.
