Institute of Engineering & Management, IEM Kolkata recently organised their annual cultural festival, IEMPACT 2023, on 21 and 22 January, 2023. Impossible to define by the verbal boundaries of merely a college fest, IEMPACT 2023 was a celebration of culture and the love for it amongst students.
The fest featured fierce competitions in the fields of music (Eastern and Western), dance (Eastern and Western), quiz, debate, creative writing, beatboxing, treasure hunt, futsal (football), and face painting. With the ultimate showcase of talent, the stage witnessed myriad rhapsodic moments as students weaved innumerable tapestries of art and culture through their talents. IEMPACT was also graced by star-studded presence like famous singer and music composer Mr. Anindya Chattopadhyay. The electrifying guest performance by popular musical band TRAP left an indelible mark on the minds of approximately 2500 audience.
IEMPACT is not just a fest - it is an emotion that resonates in the hearts of every IEM-ian and comes back time and again to remind them of the invisible string that ties them to their Alma Mater irrespective of how far away they are from Kolkata or how long ago they have graduated from this college. This year's IEMPACT saw an incredible performance by IEM's alumni band Abhirup ft. Indian Veins.
The fest was a grand success under the supervision of faculty co-ordinators and expert organisation by the core student members Rijurik, Sneha, Aditya, Souvik, Srinjoy, Krish, Sagnik, Surya, Aritri, Shruti, Deboporna, Ishak, Addrita, Ronita. IEMPACT 2023 will not be lost in the sands of time soon and is sure to remain in the hearts of all for years to come.
