Mr Koushik Nath, Security Architect of CISCO Systems India addressed the students of the Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata
The Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata students were given a presentation by Mr Koushik Nath, Security Architect of CISCO Systems India (Pvt) Ltd, on the latest network and telecom technologies that are significantly changing the industry.
Mr Koushik provided some real-world instances of how CISCO utilised cutting-edge technology in the security and surveillance industry when describing the evolution road map and the deployment of 5G technologies in the IoT sector.
He also provided insight into the application of face recognition technology in the fight against terrorism, the prevention of burglaries, the ability of advanced technology to identify changes in objects within nanoseconds and prevent crime, and many other real-world case studies.
"5G technologies will shape the future. It's better you grab the opportunity to prepare yourself for future challenges," said Mr Nath during his address.
"Our B.Tech students are getting such inputs from the industry people which will help them for future placement in top-notch companies. Since the world is changing very fast and it is mandatory for every student to be thorough with the latest technologies that are shaping the future," said Prof. Prabir Bannerjee, Head of the Department of Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.
