On 22nd July, Akashvani Kolkata's youth section, Yuvavani, organised a special programme in IIT Kharagpur's Netaji Auditorium to celebrate India's presidency of the G20 alliance of nations. 

A quiz contest on G20 featuring teams from various colleges and Universities kicked off the proceedings. The team from Victoria Institution came first in the quiz, while RBU came second. 

This was followed by a youth conclave featuring students from IIT, KGP that focused on digital currency.

A lecture on India's presidency of the G20 was delivered by IIT KGP director Dr. Virendra Singh Tiwari. Prizes were handed out by IIT's deputy director Dr. Amit Patra. The cultural events began with a performance by the Yuvavani section on the theme Vasudaiva Kutumbakam.

An interesting ventriloquism show was delivered by Palash Adikari, enthralling the assembled audience. The musical performances included recitals by Iman Sen (Calcutta Blues) and Rahul Dutta & Band that set pulses racing. 

Akashvani is organising various programmes in relation to India's presidency of the G20 summit till the end of the same on 30 November, 2023.
