Rain washed out the Sunrisers Hyderabad versus Gujarat Titans match in Hyderabad on Thursday. A steady drizzle for more than four hours had rendered the outfield wet which led to the abandonment.

Sunrisers thus confirmed their playoffs berth with 15 points from 13 matches. Kolkata Knight Riders have already topped the table while Rajasthan Royals have also made it with 16 points from 13 matches.

The other team which makes the playoffs will be decided after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru-Chennai Super Kings clash in Bengaluru on Saturday.

There is threat of rain in Bengaluru too for the virtual knockout meeting between the two teams. If the match is washed out, CSK will make the playoffs.

If RCB win, both teams will be tied on 14 points and the net run-rate will decide the issue. CSK enjoy a better net run-rate and only a victory by a significant margin will take RCB through.

Lucknow Super Giants could also finish on 14 points if they win their final league match against Mumbai Indians on Friday.

But their inferior net run-rate has diminished their chances of advancing.
