The heat is unbearable and it’s only April 17. This is just the tip of the iceberg it seems and we still have a few more months to brace through deep fry like conditions. Kolkata, like various parts of West Bengal, is battling heatwave-like conditions. Team My Kolkata trekked around the city to witness the weather conditions. Heat or no heat, habitual shoppers cannot be reined in. Amid the many cloth and toy shops, a man carrying a block of ice was respite to the eyes. My Kolkata also spotted designer umbrellas. Who says one cannot be fashionable even as the “burning blight” has been “roasting” the city?
