‘Panchayat’ S3 release date is hidden behind a ‘lauki’
TVF and Prime Video have involved viewers in a fun game to unveil the show’s release date

A lauki is central to the premise of Prime
Video’s beloved show, Panchayat. The slice-of-life dramedy about a
hapless government employee navigating the simplicities of life in a village
has become one of the most beloved shows on India television, and fans have
been waiting for a new season for two years. Prime Video finally announced that
the release date for Season 3 is hidden behind a quirky lauki-themed
game! Neena Gupta and Jitendra Kumar dropped Instagram posts, asking followers
to remove laukis from their website to unlock the actual date. While
over four lakh laukis have already been removed, the target for the
announcement is a steep one, and every effort counts. Do your bit, so that we
all have another wholesome season of television to look forward to!
