VCs appointed
Jadavpur University professor Kallol Paul and Calcutta University s former interim vice-chancellor Asutosh Ghosh were appointed officiating VCs of Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University in Jhargram and Rani Rashmoni Green University in Hooghly by the governor on Monday. The governor is the ex-officio chancellor of the state universities. Ghosh was also appointed the officiating VC of Harichand Guruchand University at Thakurnagar in North 24-Parganas, but he declined the position.
