Rising stars shine at The Bengal Junior 2024

The Bengal Junior 2024, the fourth leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2024, took place at FWEPTA, Kolkata, between May 11 and 12. Shaurya Bhatnagar from Kolkata emerged victorious in the A & B Boys division with a score of 167 (81 and 86), securing the top spot. Andrew Baid finished closely behind, claiming the second position with a score just three strokes shy of Bhatnagar’s.

In the B Boys’ category, Andrew Baid showcased exceptional performance, clinching the victory with a score of 170. Manan Bagrecha secured the second position with a score of 180. Among the A & B Girls, Kolkata’s Karishma Samadder emerged as the winner with a score of 163, while Samaira Chitlangia finished second with a score of 167. Kolkata’s Nahida Parvin emerged victorious in the C Girls’ category with a score of 172, followed by Julinka Roy Chowdhury securing the second position with a score of 176. In the D Girls’ category, Amaira Gulati from Siliguri claimed victory with a score of 193, with Vaasvi Himatsingka securing the second position with a score of 238.

Kolkata’s Krishiv Rungta showcased remarkable talent in the C Boys’ category, winning with a score of 166, which was the best round among the boys. Samarth Agarwal secured the second position with a score of 169. In the F category, Aativeer Jain emerged victorious with a score of 79, followed closely by Jayansh Lakhotia with a score of 81.

The tour’s education partner is The Champ for Life Academy. The outdoor media partner is Balaji Ads, and the online proshop partner is Golfedge. Bisleri has come in as the water partner for this season. Keventer, Eastern India’s largest FMCG company, is the tour sponsor and provided players with juices and milkshakes. Additionally, Reliable Group is a sponsor. The tour is managed by Protouch Sports.
