Junta 'kick'

Bangkok, Nov. 2 (Reuters): Myanmar’s military junta is kicking out the UN’s top resident diplomat for highlighting the country’s deepening economic crisis, casting a shadow over a weekend visit by special envoy Ibrahim Gambari.

After a formal dressing down in the former Burma’s new capital, Naypyitaw, Charles Petrie was given a letter saying the government would not renew his credentials.
