A collaborative exhibition, the ongoing show presents the finest Kalighat paintings from collections of Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and Victoria Memorial Hall, Calcutta. It is part of the famous London museum’s ongoing programme of exhibitions touring India. It has on display a little over 100 paintings, including 15 contemporary works, created by artists currently working in rural Bengal, acquired by Victoria and Albert Museum specifically for this exhibition.
