Brian Charles Lara stepped into Shisha Reincarnated just past midnight on Saturday. Sipping on his drink and tapping his feet to the music, the former batting great from West Indies was clearly in the mood to chill after missing out on Sachin Tendulkar’s penultimate Test. “I am disappointed because the match at the Eden Gardens got over on the third day. My boys (West Indies cricket team) let me down. Therefore, I will catch Sachin play his last Test match in Mumbai,” he said, before obliging some youngsters with autographs and even photographs. Calcutta laughed out loud with India’s superstar funnyman Kapil Sharma at Komedy King Kapil, presented by Godrej Properties and organised by Signature Events and Rasm Events in association with t2, at Science City on Saturday evening. Armed with his trademark humour and mischievous grin, the Comedy Nights With Kapil man joked and sang for close to two hours, as the 2,200-strong audience laughed along.
