Bidya Bharati Girls’ High School celebrated its 50-year journey with a colourful performance featuring musical recitals, dance drama and guest acts. “It’s a proud moment for the Bidya Bharati family. From just seven students in 1965, the school now boasts of 45,000 students across three branches. Our girls have come out with flying colours in academics and cocurricular activities. But we still have a long way to go,” said headmistress Sharmishtha Banerjee, herself a former student of the school.
It was a proud moment for the staff and students of Shree Maheshwari Vidyalaya as it awarded the toppers of Class X and Class XII board exams in the centenary year. Ash Narayan Singh topped his school in the Class X board exam with 84 per cent marks. “The school has achieved so much in 100 years. We will celebrate with a host of programmes over the next few months,” said R. B. Pandey, assistant teacher. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy won the quiz event that was held as part of celebrations.
