Dhemaji wins 3 national awards

Dhemaji: The teamwork between staff officials and the public was the main reason behind Dhemaji district achieving laurels at the national level, Dhemaji deputy commissioner R.A. Korati told The Telegraph over the phone from New Delhi on Tuesday.

Dhemaji district has been felicitated with three national awards for excellent performance.

It achieved the second position in completing rural housing projects and earlier on April 21 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi awarded Korati the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration under the Deen Dayal Upadhaya Gramin Kaushalya Yojana.

Korati, along with former project director, District Rural Development Agency, Naren Kr Paw, received the award from the ministry of rural development, department of rural housing, for excellent performance under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. The deputy commissioner expressed her thanks to the people of Dhemaji and all stakeholders for their active support in the uplift of the district.
