Cong to review poll debacle
Agartala: Tripura Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha on Thursday said they would review the reasons for the poll debacle.
Addressing a news conference at Pradesh Congress Bhavan here, Sinha said the party has accepted the mandate. He added that strategy to rejuvenate the party's organisational structure would be discussed at the 83rd plenary meeting of the All India Congress Committee which will commence on March 16 in New Delhi.
Vote share of the Congress dropped from 44.6 per cent and 10 Assembly seats in 2013 to 1.8 per cent and zero seats this year. The party's prospects were hit after a group of Congress legislators, led by Sudip Roy Barman, left and joined the Trinamul in 2016. They joined the BJP in July 2017.
