Traffic plan for tribal rally

Ranchi: Special traffic arrangements will be in place in the capital city on Monday for the Adivasi Sengal Abhiyan rally at Morabadi grounds, which is likely to be attended by thousands of tribals from Bihar, Bengal, Assam and Odisha, besides Jharkhand.

The rally, which will be led by outfit chief Salkhan Murmu, is being held in protest against laws restricting religious conversions and amending land acquisition policy.

According to a notification issued by traffic SP Sanjay Ranjan Singh, two parking lots have been created and 9 drop gates have been set up.


Ram Dayal Munda Park: Vehicles coming from Palamau, Latehar, Gumla and Lohardaga via Tilta More, Ratu Road will enter the venue through Kanke and park their vehicles outside this park. Similarly, vehicles coming to the city from Simdega, Khunti, Chaibasa, Bundu and Namkum will have to take a detour through Tupudana to Birsa Chowk, HEC gate, New Market Chowk, Hotlips Chowk and ATI More to reach the park.

Opposite Tribal Research Institute: Vehicles coming from Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ramgarh and Hazaribagh will have to take the Ormanjhi-Boreo route to reach here

Drop gates

Special drop-gates will be set up at Birsa Chowk, Rajendra Chowk (near JAP-1 road), ITI Bus stand, OTC grounds, ATI, Sido-Kanhu Park, Piska More, Kathal More-Argora Chowk and Ormanjhi-Ranchi road.
