Patna, June 6: Chief minister Nitish Kumar could vanish into thin air, only if he wishes.
Veteran magician O.P. Sharma, who is visiting the state capital after 10 long years, has said he could make Nitish “disappear” in thin air, only if he permits.
Addressing a news meet at a city hotel, Sharma said: “I have already vanished a building in Jodhpur earlier and have also even vanished Vasundhara Raje Scindia (the former chief minister of Rajasthan). I want to do the same thing with Nitish, provided he gives me permission to do the same.”
The magician, who has gained worldwide popularity over the years, said he had given 33,542 performances and expressed his desire to vanish Golghar, the city’s largest building, and asked for permission in this regard.
The magician is in Patna to organise daily magic shows over the next two months starting at 7pm at Rabindra Bhavan tomorrow. Sharma and his son, O.P. Sharma junior, would perform several first timers like pulling out an actor from a running television serial.
“The magic shows will be full of entertainment and I can guarantee that the children and the aged will enjoy the shows,” Sharma said.
A close associate of Sharma said there are already 8,000 advance bookings for the magic shows. However, the man who he intends to vanish would not be present at the inauguration. “We tried our best to ensure Nitish’s presence, but he would not be coming,” Sharma added.
