Raunak case: Narco test for 4

Three suspects and an accused in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of 14-year-old boy Raunak Kumar are set to undergo narco analysis test.

Patna: Three suspects and an accused in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of 14-year-old boy Raunak Kumar are set to undergo narco analysis test.

Parshuram Paswan, son of former Fatuha MLA Om Prakash Paswan, Jairam and Rashid Amin alias Bittu, and Vicky Paswan, one of the accused currently in jail, on Wednesday consented to undergo the test.

They were on Wednesday produced in the court of judicial magistrate of Patna city civil court Sushant Ranjan to get their statement recorded.

Earlier, the police had requested the court of additional chief judicial magistrate of Patna City civil court, Khyati Singh, to give permission for the test to ascertain their involvement in the kidnapping-cum-murder case.

ACJM Singh directed judicial magistrate Sushant Ranjan to record the statement of all these four for their consent.

Raunak was kidnapped while going to school from Agamkuan police station area in Patna City on January 17. His body was recovered from Sandalpur locality on January 19. The abductors had sought Rs 25 lakh from Raunak's father Sudhir Kumar, a property dealer, for his release.
