Inter Day IV without buzz
Patna: The fourth day of the Intermediate (Class XII) exam conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) passed off peacefully without question paper leak reports.
On Friday, arts students wrote the language paper, commerce students accountancy and vocation course students the vocational trade paper. There were no reports of question papers going viral on Friday, but 113 students were expelled from different exam centres for using unfair means. Thirteen students each were expelled from Madhepura and Aurangabad districts and one person each from Araria and Madhepura district for impersonation.
On Thursday there was a buzz about the physics paper going viral on WhatsApp but it turned out to be a model paper. The biology paper was alleged to have gone viral on Tuesday, but the authorities said it happened hours after the exam began and was not a leak.
The education department and school examination board had asked concerned DMs to take strict action against those spreading rumours. The East Champaran district administration on Thursday detained six persons in this regard.
On Friday, BSEB chairman Anand Kishor visited various exam centres to take stock of exams. Kishor visited Miller School, College of Commerce and Arvind Mahila College, a model examination centre where all staff and security personnel are women. The chairman also interacted with invigilators and the centre superintendent about measures taken for smooth conduct of examination.
The chairman also went through visitor registers at the centres and asked officials to ensure entry of all visitors is maintained in the register.
The students writing the exams expressed happiness with conduct.
"Today's paper being language was easy," said Ravi Narayan, a student writing the exam at Miller High School. "The teachers on invigilation were not as strict as on other days."
On Saturday, science candidates will write their chemistry paper, arts candidates political science and vocational course candidates the vocational trade II paper.
