IIM to hold two-day conclave

Gaya: Indian Institute of Management, Bodhgaya, will organise a two-day HR conclave, the first major event being organised by the three-year-old institute.

Established in 2015, the IIM has been given around 160 acres in the southern part of the sprawling Magadh University campus. Presently running from the varsity's directorate of distance education building, the IIM is likely to have its own campus in the next 3-4 years. The Magadh University hostel for foreign students has also been temporarily handed over to the institute for its students.

According to the programme released for the HR conclave, three keynote speakers will apprise students of the changes taking place in the field of human resource management on account of introduction of artificial intelligence and data analytics. The challenges before HR managers include introduction of flexible schedule, including work-from-home, without compromising with efficiency. The other challenge pertains to growing culture of on-demand hiring of personnel.

The three keynote speakers are Manoj Prasad, vice-oresident HR, Reliance Industries; Parthasarathi Mishra, chief human resource manager, Tata Steel Ltd; and Sumit Sabharwal, HR Fujitsu Consulting India.
