Patna, Oct. 14: A police team from Bengal today returned to Barrackpore police station, 30km from Calcutta, with the alleged kingpin of ATM frau-ds, Amar Ali.

Amar (28) was arrested from Patel Nagar under the jurisdiction of Shastrinagar police station on Friday following a tip-off from Bengal police that he was hiding in Patna after duping a nationalised bank of Rs 25 lakh in May.

A senior officer of Bihar police's special task force said Delhi, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar police were hunting for Amar. Two cellphones, two USB-hacking devices and two laptops were seized from his possession.

Amar earlier used to work for a software company in New Delhi where he learnt how to withdraw money after hacking ATMs of different banks.

He duped a bank of Rs 25 lakh in Barrackpore police station area on May 9 this year. He is learnt to have revealed the names of his associates who are on the run.
