Calcutta: Mohun Bagan emerged champions in the CAB First Division Super League defeating East Bengal by virtue of a first-innings lead on Thursday.
This was Mohun Bagan’s third title this season having won the CAB Knockout and JC Mukherjee Trophy earlier.
The first two days of the pink-ball match had been lost due to wet outfield. After Mohun Bagan rode an unbeaten 131 by Arindam Ghosh to reach 224, East Bengal were bowled out for 158.
