Jamshedpur, June 26 :     Top seed Rohan Vijay Shandilya (6) of SR Singh High School, Munger managed to avert defeat to third seed Abhishek Das (5) of the Bharat Sevashram School, Jamshedpur in the sixth round of The Telegraph Schools Chess Championship today at the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex. Shandilya now shares the lead with Pratik Sengupta and Pranjal. Abhishek had an overwhelming position but in the sudden death he could not find a winning plan in a two Rook, three Pawn structure against the lone Queen of Shandilya. He lost in 17 moves. THE LEADERS 6 points: Rohan Vijay Shandilya, Pratik Sengupta and Pranjal. 5 points: Abhishek Das, Anirban Pati, Akash Kusum, Sudipto Dasgupta, Ved Prakash, Nitish Khejriwal, Kaushik, Abhishek Biswas, Swagatam, Souvik, Suman, Biswaranjan, Bidhan Roy and Aasis.
