Calcutta: There was good news for Bengal as Anustup Majumdar too will resign from his Railways job and continue playing here.

A 16-man squad for Bengal's first four matches o the Vijay Hazare Trophy was announced on Monday, with the list featuring Anustup's name as well.

Railways, even till last month, seemed firm on their stance about making sure both Anustup and Sudip Chatterjee turned out for them in the coming domestic season. But first Sudip quit his Railways job and so did left-hander Vivek Singh, while Anustup is likely to tender his resignation on Tuesday.

The squad also features all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed, who has been very impressive and a consistent performer for Tapan Memorial in club cricket. Young all-rounder Prayas Ray Barman too finds a place in the squad.

The squad: Manoj Tiwary (captain), Sudip Chatterjee, Sreevats Goswami, Anustup Majumdar, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Abhishek Raman, Ashok Dinda, Sayan Sekhar Mondal, Writtick Chatterjee, B. Amit, Ishan Porel, Kanishk Seth, Shahbaz Ahmed, Vivek Singh, Pradipta Pramanik, Prayas Ray Barman.
