For the health-conscious lot, Eat Good Food is hosting a Latte Festival that aims to battle misconceptions about milk. For this, a range of lattes has been whipped up using superfoods like beetroot and turmeric.
“There is a general idea that milk causes bloating and other problems. But milk is essential. Now we are seeing more calcium deficiency, more child obesity, and less healthy diets. We want to change that perception about milk,” said Hena Nafis, nutritionist and owner of Eat Good Food.
If the latte art doesn’t entice you to try this healthy drink, the benefits definitely will. High on antioxidants, this ruby red beetroot latte with milk, cinnamon and honey helps detoxify. “This also increases muscle power combined with stamina and is ideal for athletes,” said Hena. We loved the aroma. Rs 225
Spiced Turmeric Latte
If you’re looking for a fun alternative to coffee, look no further than the Spiced Turmeric Latte. This deliciously different yellow latte is a perfect way to sip something nutritious while still satisfying your coffee craving. This warm beverage has turmeric for its healing properties as its main ingredient, along with milk, and is finished off with a touch of cinnamon, honey, and just the right amount of freshly peeled ginger, making this our favourite latte of the lot. Rs 225
Keep your phone handy when this latte comes to you. With a beautiful rose made by the barista, the Charcoal Latte can be enjoyed either hot or cold. Made with activated charcoal and milk, which helps in digestion, this has a hint of vanilla essence. Rs 300
