Ranchi, April 3: All Jharkhand Students’ Union (Ajsu) would be holding a Jharkhand Janadesh Maharally on April 6 at Morabadi grounds in the state capital.
Ajsu aims increase its vote bank by means of the rally.
“The party would be calling upon the youth, intellectuals and also women groups to join the rally and help re-construct Jharkhand,” said Sudesh Mahto, chief of Ajsu on Thursday.
Apart from party leaders, block-level leaders and village party workers would also join the rally. A large number of youths would also attend the rally from various districts across the state, said Mahto.
Party leader Chandra Prakash Choudhary, who is a minister in the Madhu Koda government, would also attend the rally. Mahto said, though Choudhary is a Madhu Koda supporter, he has been an Ajsu man and is expected to join the rally.
The party has two MLAs but both are on a different side. While Choudhary is with the ruling coalition, Mahto is with the Opposition.
Former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra’s grandson, Chandra Bhushan, a software engineer, joined the Ajsu today.
In the recent past the city has witnessed several rallies, including a maharally by Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (D) head Babulal Marandi, Chetna Maharally of Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad and Kharkhand Pehchan Rally of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Shibu Soren.
