Poster pain

First published on 03-Dec-2017

When parents gathered outside the GD Birla Centre for Education on Saturday, a mother came with a poster her daughter, a Class VII student, had made on Friday night. “Childhood Should Be Carefree, Playing in the Sun, Not Living a Nightmare in the Darkness of the Soul,” it read.

“She was extremely disturbed and she penned the poster. She wanted to put the poster up herself. But I did not want her to come because she is already under a lot of stress,” said the mother, who came from Thakurpukur. Pictures by Pradip Sanyal
