She Taxi in Kochi Pension plan Bhagat plea

Kochi, May 18 (PTI): She Taxi, a first-of-its-kind 24x7 taxi service owned and operated by women entrepreneurs for lady travellers in India, will launch its operations in Kochi tomorrow.
Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy and actress Manju Warrier will inaugurate the service. The project is being extended to Kochi after its success in Thiruvananthapuram where it was launched last year. The pink and white taxis have received 3,700 trip bookings since its launch.
New Delhi (PTI): The UPA government’s decision to ensure a minimum pension of Rs 1,000 a month under the retirement fund body Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation’s scheme will be implemented soon. The decision was taken on February 28 but it could not be implemented as the model code of conduct came into force once the general elections was announced on March 5.
Lahore (PTI): A petition has been filed in a Pakistan court to bring back the trial record of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh from India. The move is required to reopen his case in Lahore. Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi of Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation said the record is needed to plead Singh’s innocence in the murder of then British police officer John P. Saunders.
