ITC SONAR

Where: Peshawri

On the menu: Whether you choose the set menu or a la carte, there isn’t a more delicious way to bring in Christmas as you feast on Tandoori Phool, Murgh Malai Kebab, the famous Dal Bukhara and Sikandari Raan.

On the menu: The weather is just right for a winter barbecue and when it’s next to a lily pond, it doesn’t get any better. While the grills are the highlight, don’t forget to check out the buffet spread as it offers some mouth-watering winter delicacies.

On the menu: Skip the traditional turkey and tuck into sushi, sashimi, Jasmine Rice, Wok-fried Noodles and an array of Korean barbecues. For Christmas brunch, sample dishes from Japan, Korea, Mongolia — Peking Duck with butterfly buns, Teriyaki Chicken Salad, Yum Thaley and the sushi counter.

TAJ BENGAL

Where: The Hub

On the menu: Christmas Turkey with accompaniments, Chicken Roast, Christmas desserts, special Christmas cocktails and live music are some of the highlights. Expect unlimited champagne and sparkling wine. 
Pocket pinch: Rs 2,800-plus (with sparkling wine) to Rs 3,800-plus (with Moet & Chandon champagne) per person.

Where: The Grill by the Pool
When: December 24, 7.30pm-midnight
On the menu: Start with a mulled wine along with a special four-course menu. Take your pick from Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Potatoes, Grilled Pork with apricot and oyster chilli sauce, Chocolate Almond Eclairs and Marzipan Fruit Croissant. Add to it unlimited beer along with a live band.

Where: Souk

On the menu: A Middle Eastern Christmas buffet featuring the vegetarian Moussaka, Kharouf Mahshie (Egyptian-style roasted lamb leg), Orange Ataif Mahshie (orange pancakes stuffed with mixed nuts, cream and orange syrup) and more. Wash it down with unlimited cocktails and beer. Ring in the New Year with an elaborate buffet spread bringing the best of Iranian, Greek, Moroccan, Lebanese, Turkish and Egyptian cuisine, along with unlimited sparkling wine.

On the menu: Pan Fried Chilli Fish, Butter Chilli Garlic Prawns, Lotus Stem with Sichuan Wild Pepper, Peking Duck, Braised Lemon Chicken and a lot more.

Also: Check out the New Year’s Eve party at the combined venue of The Hub and The Grill by the Pool. A buffet with live stations of caviar, seafood, roast turkey and desserts await, along with a select bar and live music.

On the menu: Roast Butterball Turkey, Veal Osso Bucco, Pork Vindaloo, Wood Fire Oven-roasted Chicken with burgundy wine reduction, and Wild Mushroom Pot Pies are just some of the dishes on offer.
Pocket pinch: Rs 2,090 per person with Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and a glass of bubbly and Rs 1,590 without liquor for Christmas Eve; Rs 1,795 with IMFL and a glass of bubbly and Rs 1,495 without liquor for Christmas lunch.

On the menu: Treat yourself to a five-course sit-down dinner with Edamame Shorba, Lemon Scented Grilled Gurjali Fish and Cointreau-infused Baked Mihidana and Sitabhog as the star attractions. Two glasses of wine come complimentary with the meal.

Where: Zen

On the menu: For all Chinese lovers, Zen is the place to be. Expect Malta Orange Duck, BBQ Pork Chops and more.

THE OBEROI GRAND

On the menu: What’s Christmas without turkey? The carving station at the buffet is the place to be. Zucchini Scaled Baby Bekti with gondhoraj butter sauce, Wild Mushroom Ragout with blue cheese polenta, Awadhi Murgh Korma and Pork Ulathiyathu are the highlights. Look out for the sushi counter and international cheese board too! 
Ring in 2016 with Herb Crusted Norwegian Salmon, Caramelised Figs with Gorgonzola cheese and walnut, delicious Indian dishes and an array of soups, salads and desserts. 
Pocket pinch: Rs 4,250-plus per person including alcohol for Christmas, Rs 4,000-plus per person for New Year’s Eve. 

Where: Poolside

On the menu: A Table d’hote menu on Christmas Eve by the pool with some delicious choices like Butternut Squash Ravioli, Butterball Turkey with the trimmings, French Goat Cheese Parfait. 
Live grills, stations of pasta, mezze, kebab and tempura along with soups, salads, sushi and an Asian section make up the New Year’s Eve feast.

Where: Baan Thai
When: December 31, 7.30pm-1am
On the menu: A sumptuous Thai dinner with a Table d’hote menu.

Also: The Santa Chalet holds Christmas treats like chocolates, breads, macarons and our favourite Christmas cakes. If you can’t choose, opt for the hampers and you’re set!  


HYATT REGENCY

Where: La Cucina
When: December 24, 7pm-11pm; December 31,8pm onwards
On the menu: Bell Pepper and Chevre Slice, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Gnocchi in roasted garlic and mascarpone are some of the offerings for the dinner. But the star is Roasted Turkey Roulade with traditional stuffing, butter-glazed winter vegetables, chipolatas and giblet gravy. Finish the meal with Plum Pudding with brandy vanilla sauce, or Christmas Fruit and Brandy Ice Cream.
Pocket pinch:Rs 2,500-plus per person for Christmas Eve and Rs 4,999-plus per person for New Year’s Eve.

Where: Waterside Cafe
When: December 25, noon to 4pm; December 31,8pm onwards
On the menu: Apart from the Roast Turkey, find Roasted Pork Belly with barbecue sauce, Fish a la Veronique, Saffron Pilaf with tomato, peppers and olives or even an all-time favourite Biryani with Mutton Rezala, Paneer Methi Chaman and more. For dessert there’s much to choose from — Pistachio Strawberry Tart, New York Cheesecake, Mince Pie and Christmas Pudding.
Pocket pinch:Rs 2,500-plus per person without alcohol and Rs 2, 700-plus per person with alcohol for Christmas Day; Rs 4, 999-plus per person for New Year’s Eve.


THE LALIT GREAT EASTERN

Where: Alfresco

On the menu: A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, with a glass of wine and unlimited mulled wine. Do not miss the brunch the next day either!
