At leisure, for a day about town

Tired of trousers and tee but still the sporty vibe? Slip into a pair of comfy drop-crotch khadi pants and a roomy kimono top. Sneakers are a must; get them in on-trend white.

Make-up & hair: Take half the hair, make a simple ponytail and pile it up into a bun (yes, like the man!). Do a light base, with a hint of gold or gold-peach eyeshadow and apply a coat of mascara. A swipe of pink on the lips and fuchsia blush-on on the cheeks, and you’re all set for day duty.

Geek glam, for the brunch

This off-white khadi shirt dress layered with a black kurta-tunic is great for a meal with the girls. Ditch the pumps and show some swag in tan brogues.

Make-up & hair: We heart the hair. And it takes exactly 10 minutes to do. Make a zigzag centre parting, tie the two sections into two ponytails and roll them up in buns. Stick to the light base, wear a brownish-peach on your puckers and get hold of a fun accessory — the kitschier the better — like this pair of jhumka glares.

Drape drama, for the pub

That’s a lightweight new-age Jamdani stitched sari with a kantha pallu, teamed with a top. And you were thinking what?! Walk into a nightclub in this and you will get more stares than you would in your little black dress.

Make-up & hair: The bun is kept messy, the mouth glossy. The eyes are dark brown smokey. The must accessory? The bindi.

Breezy boho, for the sundowner

Shorts and tee, crop top and shorts, floral dress... Want neither of these for the sundowner party? Then try a cut-out asymmetrical dress. Pair it with block heels for extra height.

Make-up & hair: Smudge your eyes brown and add a dash of peachy-brown on the lips. Play with your hair. How about cornrows on one side and a loosely-clipped pile-up on the other?

You really cannot do much make-up in this heat. It’s so humid. So, play around with your hair as much as you can. Go for styles that are casual and trendy. Play with your eyes and lips. — Prasenjit

All the styles we did today are about comfort fit. This summer you must invest in a pair of comfortable pants which don’t cling to your body, a khadi shirt which can be dressed up with accessories for the night, a comfortable dress, open-toed shoes and a sari.

I am mainly wearing a lot of whites. Lots of linen, pyjama pants… it’s a little extra hot, so you want to go as easy with the clothes as possible. I like doing make-up for the evening. Daytime make-up is minimal… a light, liquid base, no compact. A little bit of pink on the cheeks and a little bit of lip balm. Even for a summer party, you cannot really go overboard... maybe bold lips and easy on the eyes and cheeks. And no chunky accessories for me this season. I want to learn more styles because I hate keeping my hair open. I want to go for a drastically short haircut, but since that is not possible I want to learn more updos which are a easily manageable.
